Business Technology Management (BTM) is a term for a group of services designed to help companies that can not have its own information technology (IT). BTM can include technology planning, project management, support, database services, disaster recovery, network management, security and document services such as electronic invoicing, document formatting, and printing large scale mail. A company offering services BTM can provide advice or service itself.

BTM builds bridges between previously isolated tools and standards for corporate governance incorporating technology strategic and operational level management infrastructure technology to ensure that the strategy of a business enterprise can be done by the technology develops. This structured approach is used by companies to align, synchronize and even converge technology and business management to ensure better execution, risk control and profitability.

Business Technology Management (BTM) is a management science that seeks to unify business and technology decision making at all levels of an organization. BTM provides a set of guiding principles, known as the ability to BTM. These features combine to form BTM solutions, around the practices of a company may be organized and improved. BTM also defines the expected characteristics of an organization according to five levels of a maturity model.
